NBC Chicago reports that the house at 671 North Lincoln Avenue, famous from the movie “Home Alone,” is up for sale for the first time since 2012.
Built in 1921, the house has only had two owners. The first sale occurred in the 1980s before the movie was released, and the second was in 2012 when it sold for $1.585 million. Now, the current owners have listed the house for $5.25 million.
The real estate agency handling the sale has provided a virtual tour, allowing fans of the movie to see what the house looks like inside today. The 950-square-meter house has undergone changes but retains many recognizable features such as the kitchen, attic, basement, and staircase that were seen in the movie. However, some scenes were filmed elsewhere.
Interestingly, instead of the “monster radiator” in the basement, the new owner can enjoy a home theater where they can watch “Home Alone.” The basement also features a basketball court.
