Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s head, Hermen Hulst, confirmed that the company will continue releasing its games on PC, maintaining its current release strategy.
According to Hulst, Sony aims to expand the PlayStation brand beyond its own devices while still prioritizing PS5 sales. The strategy is designed to generate additional revenue from PC game sales and attract PC gamers to purchase a PS5 to play sequels available first on the console. Those who prefer not to switch to the PS5 will have the opportunity to play these games on PC at a later date. Additionally, Hulst confirmed that all of Sony’s live service games will launch simultaneously on both PC and PS5.
Rumors suggest that the announcement of the next PC port from Sony could happen very soon, with God of War: Ragnarok being the expected title.
