During the Xbox Games Showcase livestream, developers of World of Warcraft announced the release date for the highly anticipated expansion titled “The War Within.”
The first installment of the three-part series, part of “The Worldsoul Saga,” is set to launch on August 27th. Players who purchase the “Epic Edition” will gain early access on August 23rd. Alongside the trailer, a roadmap for the update was published.
The expansion, The War Within, will introduce a new world to explore, a new allied race called the “Earthen Dwarves,” new raids, heroic talents, and will raise the level cap to 80.
“Travel through unseen underground worlds, filled with hidden wonders and dangers, all the way to the dark depths of the realm of the Nerubians, where the malevolent Herald of the Void gathers spider-like forces to bring Azeroth to its knees.”
