It appears that the “Alien” universe will be expanding with yet another series, this time with franchise creator Ridley Scott possibly directing several episodes.
Well-known insider Daniel Richtman reported that the director has started working on a second series based on the popular horror franchise. This project is markedly different from the upcoming untitled Noah Hawley “Alien” series, in which Scott serves only as an executive producer and is not as creatively involved. In this new series, the franchise creator will have a much more active role. Details about the plot, cast, and other aspects of the upcoming series are still under wraps.
The series is known to be based on the popular franchise, with Noah Hawley acting as the showrunner. The story will take place on Earth 70 years before the events involving Ellen Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver.
Hawley’s series is set to premiere in 2025 on FX and Hulu.
