Rumor: The sequel to “Wonka” will be released at the end of 2027

The second part of “Wonka” featuring Timothy Chalamet is set to premiere in theaters on December 17, 2027. The news was reported by the portal World of Reel, citing their sources.

While there is no official confirmation yet, indications point to this based on an update in Warner Bros.’ release schedule. In a recent announcement, the studio scheduled an “Untitled WB Family Sequel” for December 17, 2027.

The musical backstory of the iconic chocolatier Willy Wonka, directed by Paul King (“Paddington”), was released in December 2023 and was a major success for Warner Bros. Globally, the film grossed $632 million, placing it alongside the success of “Dune: Part Two” and solidifying Timothy Chalamet as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young stars.
